We have seen how the Covid-19 crisis has affected a lot of lives.
Many people are losing jobs.
Not only that, but assets such as stocks and property are also at their all-time low.
Those who have an emergency fund are able to tide through the crisis, with the help of the government as well.
Those who have extra cash are able to acquire these assets such as stocks and properties at very low prices and I believe prices will bounce back to what they were before.
If there is a piece of ultimate advice I would advise myself, it would be to stop spending unnecessarily.
I would use the money saved to build up my emergency fund and after that, as standby money for any opportunities that may arise.
Hence, I believe having an emergency fund and spare cash as ammunition for opportunities that may arise in future would be beneficial to all of us, especially for the 30+-year-old.
Since we have years to go before retirement, I believe there will still be many, many opportunities ahead.
So please stop spending money unnecessarily, and START BUILDING OUR FUTURE.
